Give yourself a lift in Regina

  • October 11, 2019

It’s tough when the days start getting shorter. Give yourself a reason to smile by booking a trip to Regina this November to take in a great show! Here are a few options to give yourself a lift.

DAVID FRANCEY

David Francey was born in Scotland but calls the Canadian Prairies his home. We’re lucky to have this beguilingly forthright songwriter.

As legend has it, Francey was a working carpenter who privately wrote songs to entertain himself before his wife encouraged him to record them. He took her advice and then went on to become one of Canada’s favourite songwriters, winning the SOCAN Folk Music Award, multiple Junos, and scores of prizes abroad.

Francey writes songs about life that observes and appreciates its' simple beauty. Watching him will remind you of what’s really important in life. Thank goodness you'll have a chance to catch him here in Regina on November 6 at the Artesian!

THE MOSCOW BALLET PERFORM THE RUSSIAN NUTCRACKER

Are you a fan of ballet? Would you like to be? On Nov. 16, one of the world’s greatest ballet troupes will perform the most beloved ballet of all time. Come see the Moscow Ballet company perform The Nutcracker for one night only on their world tour. Ballet is one of the most incredible combinations of physical prowess and artistry that you’re ever likely to see. This is the show that will make you fall in with ballet – so even if it seems early for a holiday-themed show there’s no better time to see a classic known the world over. Slip on an ugly Christmas sweater and get into the holiday spirit early!

Looking for a good time in Regina? Start by booking a room at the Days Inn Regina Airport West. Conveniently located between the airport and downtown, our friendly staff will be sure to recommend great ways to spend your time here in our city.
