The farmer’s market and outdoor festival season may be winding down but fear not! Regina is keeping the festival vibes alive with three exciting events happening this fall. Whether you’re interested in food, arts, crafts or culture, the diverse array of festivals this fall have a little something in store for all visitors to the Queen City.
Grape Festival – Festa Dell’Uva
The G Marconi Italian Club is bringing the cuisine and culture of Italy to Regina with their annual Grape Festival – Festa Dell’Uva – on Saturday, September 29th. Come and see how wine is made from grapes with a wine-making demonstration and enjoy a dinner of authentic Italian food followed by a dance. Make sure to bring an empty stomach!Nuit Blanche Regina
The onset of fall means shorter days and darker evenings. Nuit Blanche Regina comes just in time to, quite literally, light up the night with an inspiring and free art exhibition. Local artists will be presenting works with the theme of light. The exhibition will begin in Victoria Park around 7:00 PM on September 29th.Queen City Anifest
In the vein of San Diego’s Comi-con, Queen City Anifest is a daylong convention that spotlights the fanfare around video games, anime series, and comic books. If images from last year’s Anifest are any indication, the event promises to be a colourful one with vendors selling will feature vendors selling ridiculously cool and unique merchandise and fan art, fans costumed up as their favourite characters and panel discussions.Southland Festival
If you love browsing unique crafts and handmade items at farmer’s markets, then the Southland Fest will be right up your alley. The festival brings local artists and vendors from around the community and is a great way to support independent craftspeople and artisans from Regina.
