Summer’s here, and that means you need to take advantage of the sun and get out and moving! Here in Regina, we make the most of the summer – here are some upcoming outdoor events so you can get out and get active!
 

SCIENCE IN THE PARK

School’s out for summer – which is the best! The kids are running around, getting some sun and exercising their bodies – but that doesn’t mean they can’t exercise their brains, too!

The Saskatchewan Science Centre is a fantastic place to take the kids for a learning adventure – and parents will even pick up a thing or two! Designed to be fun and engaging as well as informative, the interactive exhibits of The Saskatchewan Science Centre fascinate you!

On August 16^th, the Saskatchewan Science Centre will be hosting a special FREE event in McKenna Park for kids of all ages! Science in The Park will features workshops, demonstrations and live performances! Create an instrument that mimics the sound of bees! Watch liquid nitrogen in action, and more!
 

CFL IN THE PARK

Regina LOVES the CFL and their team, the Roughriders. If you ever get a chance to check out a home game, do it – the enthusiasm for this team is mind-blowing.
Until that day, you can check out a free screening of the Roughriders taking on the BC Lions on August 25 in Fairchild Park! This game will be projected onto a huge screen for a crowd of fans, making this an exciting, and more relaxed way, to check out the big game! And come back the following day for the…
 

SUMMER BASH

A free BBQ and community event, the Summer Bash will take place on August 26^th and be fun in the sun! Take part in drop-in sports events and demonstrations of yoga, martial arts and dance, play fun carnival games like a classic dunk tank, check out live performances on the stage and peruse the craft and trade show! This is a great family event – don’t miss out!
