Who’s excited for Halloween? The spookiest holiday of the year is just around the corner, which means it’s time to figure out how you’re going to celebrate it. Regina has tons of fun Halloween-themed events and activities taking place around the city. From a creepy RCMP museum exhibit showcasing some of the best known criminals in Canadian history, to a horror film double feature at The Saskatchewan Science Centre, keep reading to discover the best ways to spend Halloween 2020 in Regina.

Macabre Museum

The RCMP Heritage Centre’s annual Macabre Museum Halloween exhibit is back in 2020. Curated by the RCMP Historical Collections Unit, this special museum display will feature artifacts from some of Canada’s most famous criminal cases. Examples include the Benito Bandits’ death masks, weapons seized from criminals, bullets, rope from a noose, and other unusual criminal artifacts. The Macabre Museum is a by donation event and will be open until after Halloween.

Victorian Supernatural Superstition Tours

Visit Government House this Halloween and embark on a Victorian Supernatural Superstition Tour. Did you know that the Victorians believed in a number of superstitions? It’s true! Through the course of this historic yet spooky tour, you will be led by two costumed guides, dressed up as the Brown Sisters, maids who worked at Government House in 1905. They will take you on a tour of the museum, explaining the various superstitions and how to avoid death. Tickets for this unforgettable event must be booked online in advance.

Feast of Film - Horror Double Feature

The Saskatchewan Science Centre is hosting Feast of Film, a Halloween-themed film night featuring a “Horror Double Feature.” The 2020 event has a lineup of two modern classics, Midsommar and Hereditary. The films kick off Friday, October 30 at 7:00 pm, and a full bar and concession will be open for guests.

If you plan on visiting Regina this Halloween, then be sure to book a room at the Days Inn by Wyndham Regina Airport West. With comfortable accommodation, family-friendly amenities, and a convenient location, you can’t go wrong.
