January Fun in Beautiful Regina

This year, Regina will be kicking off the New Year in style. Over the course of the coming January, the city will host a number of not-to-be-missed events—all of which can be found just a short distance from our hotel, and are very much worth checking out!

So You Think You Can Dance Tour | January 17

If you’re a fan of dance, we’ve got some good news! On January 17, the cast of the most popular dance show on television is scheduled to stop in Regina for a truly can’t-miss spectacle. Part of a larger Canadian tour, this show will also feature pre-show cocktails and dinner. It all goes down at the Conexus Arts Centre, just a short drive from our hotel. Interested? Winterruption | January 21-23

Canada’s infamously cold winters can be a bit demoralizing at times. That said, we know how to make the best of the season in Regina. Case in point: Regina Folk Festival’s “Winterruption”, a three-day, mid-January music festival intended to break up the monotony of the season. The event, which will be hosted by three of the city’s finest venues, will feature some of the best musical acts around, from Canadian folk rockers Whitehorse, to beloved children’s performer Fred Penner. Beer Bacon Bands | January 29-30

The name of this event says it all—it’s a two-day celebration of three of humankind’s finest inventions: beer, bacon, and bands. We’re guessing you’re already sold, but here are a few more details just in case. The 19+ event is hosted by the Conexus Arts Centre and will feature a handful of talented local brewers, bacon-based food vendors, and fantastic bands. Best of all, the event supports a worthy charity in the Saskatoon Children’s Hospital Foundation. Parking for this event is free and plentiful, though there is a mandatory coat check charge of $2.
