Prairie Performers Concert presents Katie Dowling – Feb 6

The New York Times has praised pianist Katie Dowling for her “crystalline performances, gestural expressiveness, and careful attention to color”, and for good reason. This Saskatchewan-born pianist brings emotion out of the piano like no others, and after playing all over the world, she now returns to her home province of Saskatchewan to play for us. The Oscars have been running for over 80 years now, and with the movies that have won that golden statue come soundtracks and songs that are equally as deserving of praise. Think the haunting melodies of The Godfather, the uplifting synthesizers of Chariots of Fire, and Jack and Rose walking the Titanic to Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On”.
